Here we are now and it's September. All I can say is, where did the summer go? It's been a great one and there's been so many great times all over the country! In August alone I was fortunate enough to catch such great music at Lollapalooza in Chicago which included Black Sabbath, Band Of Horses, Metric, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack White and a plethora of other artists. I then headed to Outside Lands in San Francisco the very next weekend for even more epic performances from Metallica, Sigur Ros, Jack White (can't seem to see them enough), Stevie Wonder, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Portugal. The Man, Alabama Shakes, Michael Kiwanuka and so many more great artists! At the end of the month I closed out the summer in Philadelphia for the Made In America Festival which had Jay-Z curating and headlining and included various other artists ranging from hip-hop, to indie rock, to rock. It was a great weekend of music in Philly with fantastic performances from Santigold, The Hives, Run DMC, Pearl Jam, Gary Clark Jr. and so many others! I was even able to catch a Bruce Springsteen show the night before I headed back to LA. Such a great year so far for music releases, festivals all over the country and so many different artists touring throughout the US and all over the world! Just because the summer is coming to an end doesn't mean that the great live shows are going to stop. So, check your local listings to see what great bands you can go see soon. I guess the old saying is right that time flies when you're having fun!
