QUESTION: Is it hard to say the lines from the show? Some of them are so fast and funny! BAILEY: Yeah, getting the pacing right is a challenge but fun. We definitely run lines A LOT!
QUESTION: Sutton is like a Broadway superstar. Have you ever seen her on Broadway? And would you one day like to do Broadway yourself?
BAILEY: Yes, I’ve seen her many times. I’m a super freak fan! I’ve seen her in everything except Shrek. I saw her and Kelly together in Anything Goes a week before my first audition for Bunheads, and I didn’t even know about the audition then!
QUESTION: Since you are petite, is it difficult to find a partner in dance?
BAILEY: Yes, it can be difficult because I’m only like five feet tall. It can be fun to have a really tall partner though visually, and they can lift me really high! So if there’s not a short one around, I’ll steal a tall one. Or I can just dance in heels…or on pointe. That adds a few inches.
QUESTION: Besides ballet lessons, what do you do for fun during downtime on the set?
BAILEY: I like to go bowling or hiking. I like to go to the movies. I enjoy singing or going to Sacramento to visit my family! And I recently took up golfing.
QUESTION: How to you get on your toe box so well?
BAILEY: That comes from having ankle strength and a high arch. It comes from all those exercises that you do at the barre that strengthen you.
