Like Lorelai, Lauren Graham seems to be able to do it all, from comedies ("Seinfeld," "Caroline in the City,") to dramas ("Law & Order," "One True Thing") and whatever's in between, like "Gilmore Girls." She earned her English degree at Columbia's Barnard College and then went on to do an MFA at Southern Methodist University. Raised by her father in Northern Virginia, she thought she'd grow up to be a jockey, but fate was cruel. She got way too tall and had to give up her equestrian dreams. So she settled for stardom.
