Hey guys! We know how much that cliffhanger left you wanting more of The Lying Game, but the wait is almost over! To prepare for the winter premiere, let's play a little game of catch up!
What is The Lying Game?
Inspired by the Sara Shepard (Pretty Little Liars) book series of the same name, The Lying Game follows long-lost twins Emma and Sutton. Separated under mysterious circumstances, Sutton was adopted by the wealthy Mercer family in Phoenix, while Emma grew up in the foster system.
Why were they separated?
That's what they're trying to figure out! When the twins finally reunite as teenagers, they decide to keep it a secret until they have found the answers they are looking for.
What answers do they find?
Sutton goes on a search for the truth, which leads to some information about the twins' biological mother...and a lot of dead ends. Meanwhile, Emma takes over Sutton's life and discovers more secrets and lies than she could have imagined.
What's the deal with their complicated love lives?
After the switch, Ethan immediately knows that Emma isn't Sutton, his secret girlfriend at the time. But with Sutton away, Ethan falls for Emma. The couple seems happy...for now. Emma and Ethan's love is stronger than ever, but their relationship is tested by questionable motives and accusations.
So what's happening now?
It's a season of secrets, seduction and life-and-death stakes as the twins continue to expose the skeletons in their family closet.
Where is Sutton?
In the fall finale, Sutton was driving away from the lakehouse to expose Emma at her birthday party. While driving, she was attacked by a shadowy figure and her car swerved into the lake. Now Emma and Ethan don't know whether Sutton is missing--or dead.
Check back for more teases of the winter season, which starts Monday, January 2 at 9/8c!
