Character Bio

Alex Cruz has ridden the highs and lows like no one else. A former baseball star, he once expected - and demanded that his children follow in his footsteps. But his lust for their success blinded him to what was going on around him. He ended up losing his job as Kaylie's manager and almost ruined his marriage. Luckily, Alex wakes up to what's really important. He becomes Kaylie's supporter instead of her overbearing manager - and he becomes a sensitive family man. But will he be satisfied to sit quietly on the sidelines?

Aside from playing Alex Cruz on "Make It or Break It," Jason Manuel Olazabal had a recurring role on "Dexter." He also guest starred on a bunch of shows, including "The Unit," "House," "Numb3rs," "Law & Order: SVU," and "Law & Order: Criminal Intent." His film credits include "Inside Man," "This Is Not a Test," and "Bad Boys II." He's also an accomplished stage actor and a member of the prestigious Labyrinth Theater Company in New York City.
