We all share a common enemy, and her name is censorship. It’s fairly common knowledge that I am awesome beyond human understanding, so it is of course completely baffling that the principal would ban all performances of my brilliant play on school grounds. Why would she do such a thing? I’m glad you asked. She said it was inappropriate. Yes, the totalitarian principal character was eaten by wolves at the end of the play, but they were wolves of justice!

…so maybe it was a little harsh--but it’s a metaphor! True artists cannot be confined by the likes of high school bureaucracy. I can’t even wear my oh-so-sassy open-toed shoes to school, thanks to their police state level dress code. That, my friends, is sacrifice enough. But censor my art? I won’t stand for it! The show must go on…
