It seems like practically everyone's conversations in the school hallway usually revolve around Amy and the drama in her life, but this week Lauren and Madison had an interesting talk about what they're thinking about for themselves once high school is over. Madison assumes Lauren will go away to some "big, fancy school" for college, while she herself will probably stay local so she can be closer to Jack, just in case they get back together. Lauren says Madison could also go away to college and that basing a decision like that on an ex-boyfriend is stupid.
Lauren tells Madison that they aren't like Amy and they have years of life to enjoy before they need to think about settling down and having kids. Lauren says it's easy to think about guys and weddings and all that stuff, but it's harder to picture starting a business or inventing something: "Marriage and babies are easier to think about than being personally successful." Lauren thinks they should be dreaming about big things – different cultures and different countries – not just boys and babies. Madison of course immediately starts talking about meeting guys from different countries, but at least she's thinking about options beyond Jack.
What do you dream about? What kind of adventures and accomplishments do you see for your future? Where do marriage and babies fit into your fantasy life plan? Do you identify with what Lauren said? Do you see things like Madison does? Tell us in the comments! And for more to talk about from this episode – like what if Kathy and Ethan get together and what happens now that Ben knows he didn't start the fire –
