Character Bio

Dr. Shakur is Ricky's foster father. He knows he's not Ricky's real dad, but he's tried his best to be a good role model. Now that Ricky's a father himself, Dr. Shakur may be one of the best resources Ricky has. After Ricky disappeared to go find his mom in Hollywood, the doctor and Margaret decided to be more active in his life and really stepped up during the custody battle over John.       

Actor Bio

Brian's originally from Jerusalem, but he grew up in London and Toronto, then got his start in comedy with Chicago's famous Second City troupe. He's since made a name for himself in film and television. His most recognizable role was as Pakistani restaurateur Babu Bhatt on Seinfeld, but his more recent TV credits include Numb3rs, American Dad, and The Big Bang Theory. As a voice artist, he's been in series such as The Spectacular Spider-Man and Star Wars: The Clone Wars, as well as video games including Dragon Age: Origins and Lord of the Rings: Conquest. Brian's also had roles in both cult and mainstream films, including Austin Powers, Ghost World, and Bubble Boy.
