Question: I saw your wrist cast in the episode last week. Are you okay in real life?
Constance Marie: Actually, because I learned ASL at super human speed, I got tendonitis in both forearms. The brace was necessary to give Regina/Constance a rest!
Question: Do you think that Bay and Emmet should be together or should they take a break? I would like your opinion not Regina's.
Constance Marie: Ooo... I'm not partial to cheaters. But Emmett is mostly a great guy. Again, I'm not partial to cheaters.
Question: I was so excited to see that Justin Bruening is now on Switched at Birth! I watched him when he was on All My Children! He is a cutie. Did you get to work with him at all?
Constance Marie: I LOVE HIM! He is handsome, hunky and sweet. Did I mention hunky?
Question: What has been your favorite scene from the show? And your favorite episode?
Constance Marie: My favorite scene would be Regina reveals she knew about the switch scene. It took five hours to shoot. That's five hours of sign language and five hours of crying. My favorite episode? Is it tacky to say all of them?
Question: Would you ever do Dancing with the Stars like Gilles Marini? I'd vote for you!!
Constance Marie: I would love to do Dancing with the Stars, but I think it might kill me! Gilles Marini is in WAY better shape than me.
Question: I'm learning ASL now because of Switched at Birth! Any tips on how to make my hands stop hurting so much after classes?
Constance Marie: Yes!! First, warm them up before you practice, stretch them, and if they ache after class, put them in ice for at least five minutes. It calms down all the inflammation. And check with your doctor.
Question: If you had the chance to switch roles for an episode what character would it be and why?
Constance Marie: Kathryn Kennish!! I would love to have Lea Thompson's legs and that house and that kitchen!!
Question: What is your favorite word or phrase to sign?
Constance Marie: My favorite sign/word is beautiful because it's fancy and feels good. I wanted it to be my name sign, but they wouldn't let me. A deaf person has to give you your name sign.
