Q&A with Katie Leclerc

Hey everyone! How much did you enjoy Katie Leclerc’s live blog party? We collected all of YOUR fan questions that Katie answered and compiled them right here for a Q&A blog! Check out Katie’s thoughts on acting, Bemmett and real-life!

Question: What is it like doing a deaf accent on the show? Was that hard to learn how to do? You do an amazing job at it by the way.
Katie Leclerc: It was really challenging at first, but it gets easier with practice.

Question: What's it like on the set? Do you guys play any pranks?
Katie Leclerc: The only prank anyone has ever played was when Vanessa dressed up as Daphne, and I dressed up as Bay--the director got us confused for that day. We wore wigs, and it was really funny. We all get along really well, and it's a lot of fun!

Question: What do you like to do in your free time?
Katie Leclerc: I like to hang out with my dog and go on hikes. I'm a pretty good cook. I live a pretty boring life--just hanging out at home.

Question: What can we expect from these new episodes? Any hints at what's to come in the future?
Katie Leclerc: Lots of drama! Daphne spends a lot of time in the kitchen and has some new friendships. In one episode, I eat bugs! I eat crickets. It was really gross. I really ate them for real--like seven crickets! It was like eating the outside of a shrimp tail.

Question: Did you always want to be an actress?
Katie Leclerc: No, when I was growing up, I wanted to be every profession imaginable. I wanted to be a chemist because I thought explosions were awesome. I knew I wanted to be an actor when I was Annie in eighth grade, and I never looked back!
